M INTRODUCTION This amendment adds requirements for a "phase-coherent" version of the Physical layer and medium layer specifications which may be used in implementations of this standard as an alternative to the "phase-continuous" physical and medium layers specified in Parts 8 and 9. This "phase-coherent-Fsk" method will allow signalling rates of 5 Mb/s and 10 Mb/s.
