At present, high-quality scientific and educational resources are essential and important factors for the development of China. Local governments introduce high-quality resources from colleges, and colleges try to innovate the forms of running schools in different places, so as to promote the cooperation and co-construction between schools and regions, which is conducive to the combination of strong and complementary advantages, and promote the supply-side reform of scientific and technological education resources. It should also be noted that the construction of remote research institutes in colleges and universities is still in the exploratory stage. The existing transregional research institutes in Chinese colleges still have problems such as imperfect internal governance and lacking external support and human resources, incomplete ownership of rights and responsibilities: and imperfect scientific and technological service system. Therefore, it is necessary to further explore the development and operation mode of off-campus research institutes in colleges and universities to meet the needs of local development, the development needs of colleges and universities, and the status quo of industry-university-research cooperation. By combining theoretical research with case analysis, this study explores the development and operation mode of transregional research institutes of colleges in China.
