INTRODUCTION Many studies have been made to clarify the effects that rough road surfaces have on riding comfort in automobiles. In fact, the Inter­ national Organization for Standardization is currently working toward a standard (ISO/TC108) for inputs from the road surface to auto­ mobiles .
